My favourite 'go to' meal is either spaghetti bolognaise or chicken noodle soup because I know my kids will eat these without complaint.
ReplyDeleteI actually love it cook (usually) so I don't have a real "go to" meal, as I love trying new recipes and don't like eating the same thing all the time, BUT I do have phases where I'll make a new dish and if I love it, I'll make it once a week for a few weeks until I've perfected it (or grown tired of it!). The last couple weeks I've made a copycat version of Olive's Garden's Zuppa Toscana.
ReplyDeleteMy go to meal is pasta with broccoli and sausage. It's easy and everyone loves it.
ReplyDeleteWe have a bunch of go to meals because a lot of the time we both get home from work way too tired to actually cook a meal. We keep a bunch of staples around so it's always pretty quick to make grilled cheese and tomato soup, or broccoli rice, or macaroni, or ramen with eggs, etc. etc. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy go to meals is delivery sadly
ReplyDeleteThe process of getting food from the grocery store, cooking and cleaning ends up meaning I am touching the food 16 times. I resent that so much I don't want to devote anymore time to food, so I don't do any meal planning so we often end up eating out or poorly. Having someone else think about that and developing the grocery list AND time management in preparation is awesome! Her demo week looks tasty, easy and healthy!
ReplyDeleteGrilled chicken (marinated in italian dsg), roasted broccoli and sweet potatoes is my go-to dinner. I grill extra chicken and serve it in salads or chicken salad.
ReplyDelete5 dinners in 1 hour sounds like a major time saver to me! I usually spend about 1 hour a week planning meals for that week- and we're an all-organic family so we're very specific about our ingredients also. It would be nice to cut my planning time.
ReplyDeleteI'm a terrible cook, but the one thing I can always whip up in a hurry is go to is panko breaded chicken breast, I'm sure my family would be thrilled to get a little variety mixed in there!

ReplyDeleteSadly, my go-to meal is whatever my mother-in-law is cooking. We currently live with her and my father-in-law, so we like to trade of cooking based on how creative we are feeling or what is going on that day. We both stay at home so its usually what I used to consider a "Sunday" meal- a meat, two vegetables, fruit (usually homemade applesauce), some sort of potato, rolls, and a salad. Before we moved, we rarely ate meat and dinner was a rushed affair before my hubby left for his night shift.
