Thirteen82 Chronicles: Lets Play with Pattern!

Welcome back to the third edition of the Thirteen82 Chronicles!

You have selected the colors and we are scheduling a "paint day", and we couldn't be more excited to keep moving forward with making selections for Emily's new guest bedroom and bathroom space!

Here is what you have selected so far:

Emily and I have been scouring the web for some inspiration photos to give you all a better idea of our "scheme" of things.

These were some favorites:

I am really excited because Emily is all about playing with color and pattern in this soon to be super cozy space.  And today, you get to help us select a combo of fabric choices that we will use for the window treatments and throw pillows {or any re-upholstery projects}.

I combined the color pallet into an easier to visualize format...

The walls will be the neutral colors, the vibrant colors will be brought in through the accessories.

Who's ready to vote on fabric?  Here are some of our favs {yes, we really love the Gray Chipper Fabric}:

{all fabrics found at fabric.com}

Leave a comment on this post with which number you would love to see in her new space!

Voting goes from now through this Sunday, 3/25.

We will be sure to share before and after pictures, project updates, cost breakdowns and sources as we begin working on the two rooms, so stay tuned!

  1. I love number 3! I just made throw pillows with a fabric similar to the gray chipper, and they are adorable!

  3. Number 3 I'm sure! I think? :)

    ReplyDelete
  4. Lets try this again!

3, because I think in 4, the blue and green patterns would look too busy against each other.

    ReplyDelete
  5. absolutely #3!! Those are great! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

    ReplyDelete
  6. 3 for sure! Although I do love the Chevron stripes in 2....but still, #3

    ReplyDelete
  7. I would say #3 even though I love all the patterns in #4 too. I am sticking with 3 before the green stripe isn't as busy as the green pattern in #4. You already have a busy pattern in #4, so I think throwing in the other green pattern becomes a little overwhelming. Can't wait to see what y'all choose!!!

  8. I like 3!!! :) All are gorgeous.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm really into the chevron pattern now so I would say #2!

    ReplyDelete
  10. #3! But #4 is lovely too!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I really love them all, but I slightly prefer #2.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Tough choice between 3-4, but I do like the bold green stripe.

    ReplyDelete
  13. #2 for the win! bc i'm slightly obsessed with anything chevron these days...

    ReplyDelete
  14. I vote for #3! I think #4 has too many busy patterns going on.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Definetely #4! Also, where is the blue dotted fabric from #2 found at?! Thanks!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh I love the Gray Chipper fabric! You've picked some lovely fabrics and patterns. I have to say #3. I think larger stripe in the green fabric works well with the chipper fabric, and then you have the blue one to add some WOW with a busier pattern. I also like #1, that blue fabric is so pretty.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hands down #2...I can't resist a good chevron fabric :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. 3! And I can't wait to see--these are really similar to the colors in my dining room (from my awesome curtains) and I need more accessories and lamps--maybe you'll find something amazing for me too!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Love #3...colors and patterns are beautiful together!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. #3! Just enough without being too much!

    ReplyDelete
  21. i really love them all, but #3 is the clear winner!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think I am going to have to go with number 1.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I like 3 & 4. I'd really like to see how you incorporate all that pattern in a bathroom and because it's outside my comfort zone, my final answer is 4!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Definitely #1!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I love #1! (I think it's the quatrefoil fabric that gets me...) But I also love the chevron from #2!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I vote for #3! Love that one :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I like 2 and 3 but think I will vote for #2!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. 1. It plays with pattern but doesn't get too over the top about it so guests who are more easily overwhelmed are less likely to be so.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I vote 1 or 3! :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. #4! can't wait to see the finished room!

    ReplyDelete
  31. #3. The perfect combination of pattern size, lines, curves and colors. They all work well together.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Love #3!!!! And love the color scheme as well as the inspiration pictures! Can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Number 3! I think it has the best contrast, without looking like too much.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I like #1. The teal pattern in that one is great - you need a large pattern to balance out the small ones. In #3 and #4, the patterns are nice, but small and no large patterns to break it up. I feel like in a big room, it'd just look like a lot of small busyness and everything would kinda wash each other out.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I prefer #2, but since you are in love with the grey chipper fabric, you would regret not using it. So then my second choice is #1!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I would make a different combination of the patterns... but I vote for #2

    ReplyDelete
  37. #3 tho i love the chevron in #2

  39. Oooh this is hard! Number 3 gets my vote!

    ReplyDelete
  40. #3 is the best combination of color and mixed pattern, small med and large

    ReplyDelete
  41. LOVE the color palette, and can't wait to see how it turns out!!

I really like #1 because there is that large-scale trellis type patter mixed in. I think I'd even bring a little of that multicolor chevron into #1, making it 4 fabrics. But I'm biased because I love working with that fabric. :)

Not a huge fan of # 3 or 4 because in my experience that blue/teal Waverly fabric isn't really as teal as I think it wants to be. It seems more of a muted blue IRL to me. Have you gotten swatches of all the contenders? You can usually order them from Fabric.com

Finally, I'm dying to know what that middle fabric is in #2. Love.

The gray chipper fabric is the perfect weight for pillows. So are the Waverly fabrics you've included. I'm saying this because the Chevron in #2 is super lightweight cotton and wouldn't be ideal for nice cushions. Great for drapes, though!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love them all but will go with #2 :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm voting for option 3!

    ReplyDelete
  44. All of them are great, but I LOVE #3!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Love number 3! The extra fabric in number 4 is awesome too, but I agree it would be too much pattern unless you used just a hint.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Love #1. That middle swatch is just fun!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm loving #3! It seems like the best mix of busy and not-busy fabrics

    ReplyDelete
  48. I like #3, but really love the middle blue pattern on #1!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Definitely #2. I've seen all the other fabric before, so it's a bit old. The 1st fabric in group #2 is new to me and fresh. Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  50. #2 Is sososo cute:) I love all the blues and greens!

    ReplyDelete
  51. A vote from London for #4.

    I love your blog Jen!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Number 3! Number 3! Perfect mix of complex & simple patterns.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I like Number 1! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  54. I really love #1 and it's the middle fabric that does it for me. It's a nice large scale that helps balance out the others.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Number 3!! Perfect mix of large and small patterns. :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. 1 or 3 I love the green stripes!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I really love #4 although I agree with the others on it maybe being a bit busy, but I love the patterns and think it'll all balance out in the end!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Number three has captured my heart! I love that the designs are classic, but adveterous at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I vote #2 but I would find a bolder grey and white stripe. Like the green and white stripe in #3, but in grey and white.

    ReplyDelete
  60. #1--love the middle pattern!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I love #1 & 4...so torn. I guess #1 :) I like all the patterns and the color choices!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Definitely number #1! I like how each pattern is quite different, but doesn't overwhelm too much when you walk in the door.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Number 4, in fact I just might get some of the same fabric. :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. #3 ... and I'm so excited because I have swatches of two of these fabrics sitting on my desk right now for my living room make over in our new place! Great minds think alike!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Wow! Wow! Wow! I esp. LOVE no. 2.
    Jule

    ReplyDelete
  66. I love the contrast of the colors and patterns in number 1.

    ReplyDelete
  67. #2 seems to combine the best without being too busy

    ReplyDelete
  68. I love the chevron stripes and pop of blue color in #2.

    ReplyDelete
  69. #2, but throw in the chipper, too, because that's what you love. :)

    ReplyDelete
  70. I like #1 because the patterns are less similar and I think that will make it more interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I like #2, It just seems very fun and inviting with all the colors. But I really like the chevron :D

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm torn between 2 and 3...leaning a bit more toward 2 tho.

    ReplyDelete
  73. i can't believe not many people have chosen #2! That's my fav!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. #2 is my fav too! I also love the gray chipper but the chevron makes such a cool statement and the colors in the chevron you posted are awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Definitely #3—calming yet playful with enough variance in color to have fun with it. Plus, although trendy in pattern, won't become dated any time soon. Great matchup!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I love the green stripes so I am going to have to vote for #3!

    ReplyDelete
  77. it's hard to choose between 2 and 3 but I lean more towards 3, have FUN!

    ReplyDelete
  78. 2 or 3 definitely... I do like the green stripes in 3 though :-)

    ReplyDelete
  79. #3 is first choice, #4 is second choice:-)

    ReplyDelete
  80. I like #1...particularly the middle pattern/color!! Lime green is my "signature" color...so love this color scheme you have going!!

    ReplyDelete
  81. #3 for sure! The colors blend well, and the patterns work well together...

    ReplyDelete
  82. #2 (because I'm not a fan of green)

    ReplyDelete
  83. I can't decide between #3 and #4. LOVE them both!

    ReplyDelete
  84. The ONLY choice is #1 ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  85. Oh wow...your paint colors are like a combo of mine and my husband's tastes! He loves the color olive (nearly all his shirts and some of his pants are that color), and wanted grey walls for our house. Teal is my favorite color.

I do not like the color olive (and am recoiling a little seeing it paired with teal), and while I like grey, having it as the primary wall color seemed depressing...so our walls are muted teal (hubby lost that battle).

    ReplyDelete
  86. How fun is this! I can't wait to see this room with the colors chosen it is going to be beautiful!

While I love #2 I think it might be too trendy and will date itself too soon so I pick #3. More classical and will withstand time :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. I vote for #3! wonderful prints and not too much clashing or busy-ness :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. (...continued)

...so, I'm really curious how these will look together! I think I like number3 the best, and I'm really curious where you found that middle fabric (cause I might want to snag some)

    ReplyDelete
  89. I like numbers 2 and 4 the best, but I think the two geometric prints might compete because they are similar in scale so number 2 is my final choice!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Number 3 is my vote! I love how the colors interact and the variety in pattern!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Love the feel of #4

    ReplyDelete
  92. #1!! but I can tell I'm already outvoted;)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Definitely No. 1, but I would incorporate the larger stripe pattern from No. 3. That middle blue pattern is just great.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Shirley says:
I love, love #3 because the colors blend so well.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Love the middle one on number one and the first on number two and of course the gray chipper!

    ReplyDelete
  96. I like #2 the best. I like the multiple colors in the first swatch. #3 would be a second choice...

    ReplyDelete
  97. LOVE the blue in 2! But 1 is great as well. Either one of those has great contrast to play against each other, and yet "go together". :) Can hardly wait to see the finished product! :)
