IHeart A Good To Do List

Boy oh boy do I love to make lists!  Don't you?  Totally my idea of a good time.

I have found that my weeks run a bit smoother when I take 15 minutes out of my weekend to prepare for the upcoming week.  I don't do well going into a week blindly, so I look at the week ahead and review what I already have written in from school notices and emails while adding in updates and meal plans.  This is the time I also like to set my goals for the week and review my ongoing To Do list.

I found that I was continuously transferring my goals and "to do's" through my planner week after week and decided that an on-going working document would be much more effective.  Plus, checkboxes only make to do lists better, so I definitely needed some of those in my life.  What is it about checking off a task that makes me want to do a little jig?  Such a good feeling.

So, I did what any printable lovin' gal would do.  I created a quick To Do list printable; one page for home and one for work {I just print it front to back so that they can both be on the same sheet inside my planner}.  I also created a page that contains both on a single sheet.

I love it so much I also wanted to share the free versions with YOU!

{click here to download your FREE to do checklist}

Now, I can print the master list as needed and punch it into the current week and just keep moving it through my planner.  Or hang it on the fridge.  Or tuck it in my purse.  Gotta love a simple and colorful printable that makes running life even more fun!

Happy weekend my blog pals!

One more day to snag that $1000 Nordstrom giftcard that is up for grabs!  And new ways to enter have been adding to increase your odds!  I guess that requires a "Happy Shopping" ending as well!

  12. Love it! And with check boxes. My husband was just teasing me this morning saying I had a planner on my phone, why was I writing on a calendar. I said it's not the same. He said it's like those jumbo activity books for kids but for adults. He may be right. I still love the act of writing it down versus entering it on a gadget.

  13. LOVE this to-do-list! My lists are usually scribbled on piece of scrap paper which I often lose. I'm going to print this list out today and start using it! :)

  14. Hi!

I have to say: good job! I have never ever read an organizing blog nor cleaning posts. Never been motivated to do anything related to it with my stuff. And now, after reading about 10 pages of your blog, I have this envy of doing a bunch of organizing DIYs and clean stuff... that's weird!

It's a really great blog and no matter who is writing what posts, they are all so fun to read!

  19. Hello Jen, I love this. I also use an organizing book. It allows me to keep track of all my organizing "to do" list around the house. I think this is a great idea for many newly married ladies, they can use this method to keep their homes in order...MILLIE

    1. I just write down everything I don't want to foget, since my mind is always racing. Nothing all that exciting, just reminders to mail things, make apts/phone calls, projects around the house, blog posts and admin tasks... The lists are always changing, depending in priorities and what life throws our way. :)

  34. Thank you so much for this! I need to have a physical list in front of me because I never remember what needs to be on my to do list. I prefer a pen-and-paper list so I can scratch off what I have accomplished. (Does that make me old school? Ha ha!)

  35. I apologize if you've already answered this, but what planner do you use? Does it come with the calendar pages in the photo and you just add in the to-do list?

  37. I love my planner, but I was thinking just this week that I really wish I had a To-Do list that I could rotate through the weeks. It's like you read my mind! My planner is smaller so I just trimmed down the To-Do list you made and clipped it to my current week. Love it! Thanks so much!

I LOVE your planner layout, but I'm patiently waiting for the smaller version to come out =) I am always on the go, and things pop into my head so randomly that I prefer a planner that I can fit in my purse. In the meantime, I will definitely use your to-do list printable for on the fly organizing and planning. Thank you!
