502 IHeart: Modular Mates & a GIVEAWAY!

Happy Tuesday!  Gotta love Giveaway Day!  Especially when it's an awesome product to help you get ORGANIZED!

This morning, I revealed to you a little spice cabinet makeover, that proved to be a more streamlined before and after:

I can't give the new magnetic door/spice tins all the credit.  In fact, something else really made the cabinet FANTASTIC as well.  I am assuming it's obvious just by looking at the photos...

When I was purging in my kitchen, I took out items that just weren't working well for us.  The canisters in our cabinet were amongst the pile, since they didn't fit well in the cabinet and were more of an annoyance than a help.

The problem with our baking/spice cabinet, is that it's really NARROW!  And I was having the hardest time figuring out how to keep our counters clutter free from canisters, and keeping the baking essentials behind the cabinet doors, where they belonged.  That's when I discovered TUPPERWARE.  Talk about a match made in heaven!

I have always heard amazing things from friend and family and even in the blogosphere, about TUPPERWARE products.  So I was excited to hop on the ol' bandwagon.  I knew the Modular Mates they provided would be the perfect solution to our cabinet, since I could get 4 of them to perfectly fit in an itty bitty space.  I know I sound like a crazy weird person, but I also got all gooey giddy for the fact that the design allows the containers to stack up equally!

Each container is numbered and the numbers help you determine which work together to stack at the same height.  For example, I purchased two of the taller number 4's and I could have gone with either a combo of a 3 and a 1 or a 2 and a 2  to make sure it equaled the 4 to remain at the same shape/height.  I went with two of the size 2's.  It really isn't as confusing as I am making it sound.

Not only that, but they are an organizers dream.  Each containers capacity is engraved on the bottom to help you decide what food fits in the container!  Takes the pressure and guess work out of things!

Besides the fact they were a space effective smart option for us, the most important fact was keeping the food inside fresh!

The Modular Mates are virtually airtight to ensure moisture-proof, bug-proof storage so food stays fresher, longer!

Now, those that have looked into Tupperware products in the past, may be a little nervous about the investment part of things.  They aren't the cheapest products out there, nor are they the most expensive.  However, they are probably the most expensive pieces I have personally splurged on, but here is why:

I won't ever buy another set.  The sets have a warranty on them for life!  All I need to do is just contact my consultant if anything cracks, chips, or peels and it will be replaced at no charge!  No where else can you find a promise like that!

My incredibly generous and sweet consultant, Lesley, has offered up a giveaway to all of you, so you can be on your way to organized cabinet bliss!  {And if you have great canisters in the kitchen already, don't forget about the fact that these can be used just about anywhere for anything from campers, boats, dorm rooms, scrapbooking, travel, diaper bags, bathrooms, office, kids art supplies, etc!}  Seriously, how sweet is she?!

  • One individual will win one set of Oval Modular Mates {two number 4's and two number 2's}, in their choice of color! {a $46 value!!}
  • Please ensure I have your email or blog address so I have a way to contact you when you win!
  • Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.

  115. Freshen up my space!! I am a type 1 Diabetic and to control my blood sugars, I am supposed to cook my own meals as much as possible (to control the amount of carbs and fat that go into my food). However, I am a teacher and in graduate school, so being able to a) find the time to find perfect solutions for organizing and b) find the money to pay for these wonderful organizing solutions is SO hard. I would use these wonderful items to help keep my ingredients fresh so that I can make healthy meals for myself (for example, I LOVE quinoa but I can't find a way to keep it...I also am dying to experiment with different kinds of flour, like spelt, and if I had a way to organize these items, I would use them more often).

  148. Just visted Lesley's site - I think the TupperWave® Stack Cooker Starter Set would be the perfect gift for my MIL - she makes cakes all the time but they tend to be...ummm...dry for lack of a better word! LOL! A fool proof way for her to make a moist cake :) SOLD!

  163. Freshen Up My Space!!! :) I have been working on organizing our kitchen. We don't have a lot of storage so we have to go 'up'. Unfortunately that means that odd boxes and bags are on top of each other. Modular Mates would help organize and allow me to go 'up' in the cupboard.

I would use these in my pantry for my sugars and flour. They are currently looking very disorganized and taking up space in their original bags/ziploc bags.
