  2. Shut the front door. That's too cute. My boyfriend and I drove 11 puppies from Indianapolis to the rescue he works for here in Chicago. We have an 18 month old dog and all this puppy love seriously makes me want to add one more to the mix. Congratulations on your latest addition!

  18. Hi Jen! I'm a new follower, and Heart your blog SO much. My name is also Jen :). Anyhow, GREAT choice on the labradoodle. Our family has one, and he's the sweetest dog. They are very smart, lovable, even-tempered, and cute! Our dog's name is Winston and he's 6 years old. He walks off-leash, can catch frisbee like no one's business, and will sit on our front porch, and back yard (no fence) without supervision. They are such amazing dogs!

  24. YEA!!! SO happy you chose a Lab. We are huge Lab lovers. Just be warned they are super slow to grow out of the puppy stage. They are super hyper and love to chew. Our Silver lab will be two next month and is giant bouncing, chewing bundle of fur. Although the only female lab we ever had was super calm and lazy. So maybe you'll luck out.

  27. @Jennifer,

We lost our bulldog about a year ago which was pretty hard on the fam. We noticed our Weimaraner was having greater separation anxiety if we had to leave him as well. We took a long time to find the perfect pup and I think she was worth the wait because we adore her like crazy!

    xoxo,
    Jen

  30. We are in the early stages of searching for the right addition to our family...how did you go about finding your perfect dog? Did you go through a breeder, friend, somewhere online? I have no idea where to start and have always loved labradoodles so would love any advice you have :).

  31. @Jojo,
I had been looking at pups for about a year and always seemed to go back to labradoodles or goldendoodles because of all of the great things I was reading. We wanted a dog that first was going to be great for our family, but also one that would be good with our other dog {which is a weimaraner}. So far she has had a couple of accidents {what puppy doesn't?} and LOVES to chew {so invest in lots of chewy toys}, but she is a lover and so great with the kids and we couldn't be happier with her. We did go through a local breeder that we found in the paper, and made sure to meet both of her "parents" as well. Best wishes to you as you begin your search!

    xoxo!
    Jen
