46 IHeart a Humble Blogger Meet and Greet

It's no secret that I have a blogger bff.

Her name is Amanda.  She is the author of Our Humble A{bowe}d and I adore her!

Amanda has family in Minnesota {my neighbor state}, so we make sure we meet up each time she comes back.  The first time we hit up an IKEA together, the second time we did it again, and then worked on projects back at my house.  Her crafty skills are beyond amazing!

She is coming back for the holidays, so of course we had to squeeze in a date to do what we love, project and thrift!

Then, a genius idea was sparked!

Get it?  IHeart and Humble?  I know, I should totally do this for a living....

Anyway, we want to meet you!

I know, it's a little last minute, but we are meeting up at the local Goodwill {1627 County Road B} in Roseville, MN at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20th.  We are going to be doing a little thrift store shopping and thought it would be fun for any local readers who also love to thrift, to join in on the fun!

Maybe do a little thrift store hopping if you have any other local suggestions as to where one could snag a great find?  And I know it's the holidays and schedules are busy, maybe you could use it as an excuse to find the perfect DIY hostess gift or a fabulous festive centerpiece for the table?

So who's in?

  9. Man, that is only 30 mins away from me too! Wish I could come but my youngest has gymnastics at that time. That would have been so cool to meet some other crafters/bloggers in the area.

  11. You should check out the Goodwill Outlet while you are there. If you go, wear gloves! It is where everything that doesn't sell in the regular stores go....and you pay by the pound! It's a dump, but you can almost always find a treasure and it's a good story... :) Here's the site:

  19. How fun!!! Perhaps you can videotape your shopping spree to share on your blog? Show your blogger reader/fans, show how you spot fabulous find at thrift store and how you transform the items?

Perhaps you can get a babysitter and have your hubby videotape your excursion? Or a nearby blog reader/fan that has mad photography/videography skills? I hope so!!!

  25. Sorry, I can't make it. I just googled it and it's going to take me 55 days and 1 hour (23, 316km) and the route includes ferries, tolls and goes through Japan.

    Have fun though!!

PS. I live in Australia ;)

  26. And I'd have to kayak across the pacific ocean for 5, 404km... then drive through Japan... and then kayak another 6, 243km across the Pacific Ocean again til I got to Hawaii.

And then ANOTHER 4, 436km kayak to Washington... And from there on, the directions are pretty straight forward!

Oh, how I love google maps! Entertainment for the day sorted and it's only 9:40am!

  34. Oh what a bummer! I am about 2.5 hours from there. But I just had a baby 2.5 weeks ago, otherwise it would have been so fun to meet you. I have been reading your blog just a few months now. Its been great to help me get motivated in cleaning up around here! I just need to learn how to throw things away now and not keep everything. I can't wait to hear about your thrift store trip and everyone you meet.

  35. DON'T BE SHY! These are women JUST LIKE YOU! They are probably feeling a little insecure about meeting YOU! :D How do I know this? Because I am TOTALLY SHY and then people say after how they were shy about meeting me, and I am always flabbergasted. "WHY would anyone be shy of ME?" I think... Because somehow I fool the world into thinking I have it together or something... :D LOLZ I would be there, but live in Ontario (over the lake from Rochester NY)

  36. I would love to come but I am way to far away, like 1500 miles far ... Sigh! Susan Cooper

  43. Oh, what a bummer I missed it! I live IN ROSEVILLE! I had family here for the holidays so it wasn't really an option. I love thrift stores. Here are my favorites: Savers in Maplewood, Unique Thrift on Rice St in St. Paul, and the thrift store in the Sun Ray Shopping Center in Hudson, next to 3M Corporate, can't think of the name but I'm sure you know it. Hope you had a great time - sounds like you did!
