30 Staples SUPER Saturday & a GIVEAWAY!

Boom!  It's the weekend!  I hope it's a great one for all of you darling friends!  I am hoping to make it even better too!

I mentioned earlier this week that I was partnering up with Staples this year, which is one of my very favorite companies ever.  I couldn't be more excited for all sorts of reasons, but a huge plus about the partnership is that I get to bring you some awesome giveaways!  Say what?!

For this giveaway, I was given the opportunity to review Staples new Cross Cut Paper Shredder.  It's a super sweet new accessory sitting right under my desk.

The timing is perfect since it's tax time and we have all sorts of personal documents and statements that we have been making copies of and looking up, that we don't wish to let anyone get their grubby fingers on.

I have always been fairly good about stashing all my "To Shred" papers in a box and then taking them somewhere to have them shredded....

So I am quite grateful that I can now shred instantly and reduce the risk of important papers getting into the wrong hands.

There are quite a few things I adore about the shredder, it is full of great features:
  • It shreds up to 10 sheets of paper at a single time.
  • It has a warning light for when the shredder is getting too warm.
  • It has auto start and stop functionality.
  • You can pull the bin out to empty it, without removing the top shredding piece, it's super quick and easy.
  • It has a safety lock feature, which means that the shredder won't work without a key {great for keeping the kids from playing with it}.

  • The shredder cross cuts, which means that things aren't just shredded, they are super shredded!

Since anytime I review a product, I like to share my complete honest opinion of the product, I try to find a few things that I would fix or update to make it 100% perfect.  One thing was that it was a bit bulky and barely fit my desk area, but the pro to that is that it holds A LOT of shredded paper, and means I will have to empty it less often.

Oh, and if it came in pink, that would totally rock.

So, if you are excited to take a step in ensuring your identity is safe from garbage creepers, then get excited to win one of these home office must haves!

Oh yeah, and Staples really loves iHeart Organizing readers oh so much, so they are throwing in some of their new AvantPro Pens for the winner too!  Bonus!!

  1. I always love going to Staples. It's like back to school, supplies shopping for grown-ups! Awesome shredder, I could use a new one. Thanks for the give-a-way.

  2. Oh, I so hope I win! I was JUST telling someone how I need a new shredder. The one I have has a bulky, HEAVY top. The other day I dropped it on my toe and I was like, "THAT'S IT!" Every time I need to remove the top it drops or I pinch my skin when it plunks back down on the base. I must get one with a pull out bin!

  4. It would be soooo GREAT to win this shredder. My present one can only shred 2 sheets a time and most of the time I spend more time lifting the heavy top and taking out stuck papers!! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  14. I'm surprised a DIYer like you didn't think to paint it the pink you'd like. Krylon Fusion (paint made for plastic)is available in pink. Just tape off the areas you don't want to paint and go to town!

    1. Haha, totally thought about it but I just don't have the guts. Too many cracks and crevices and I would hate to ruin it.

  15. The safety feature of needing a key! It would give me such peace of mind to not have to worry about that.

  16. I like the cross cut feature, but what also makes me a little giddy about this one is the size of the paper bin. I recently went through our files and have a HUGE box of old documents to shred. I've been shopping for a good shredder for the entire 2 months since I did that purge, that box in my office is making me a wee bit twitchy! Thank you for a chance to win! Awesome giveaway!

  17. I'm not sure if I've commented on your blog before. I noticed your Young House Love book on your bookshelf. I'm a reader of YHL too - love! I love your blog too, but I'm not sure I've ever told you that. I love you cohesive sense of style, use of color, and of course, organizational ideas and tips. Keep up the great work! You're absolutely delightful.

  20. What a great shredder and giveaway! I really love that it allows you to empty it without taking the top off. Every shredder I've owned just creates a mess having to take off the top. Thanks so much for the great opportunity!

  21. Just want let you know that, I needed a printer, and popped into staples this weekend because I remembered that they heart you-- and I do to! Congrats!

  22. I love shopping for pens and papers at Staples! I could stare at them all day. And I could use a cross-cut shredder - they are so much better than the strip shredders!

    1. Thank you! The chair and slipcover were from Pottery Barn, but I also have similar ones from IKEA and they are similar quality for a fraction of the price. :)
