1928 IHeart: Silhouette & a GIVEAWAY!!

I am SO excited I can barely contain myself.  I mean, I want to climb up to the rooftops and scream with all of the glee in me, "I am giving away a SILHOUETTE!!"

For those of you who frequent this blog, you know I have been pining after one of these babies for, um, FOREVER!  So imagine the perma grin I am wearing today.  I am like a little glow worm, glowing glowing glowing with oodles of happiness... because Silhouette offered to hook me up with the most amazing crafting machine created, and they are letting me GIVE ONE AWAY as well!

When I say incredible, it doesn't even scrape the surface at how awesome this machine is.  Seriously, there is absolutely nothing it can't do!

Scrapbook pages?  Check!

Cards?  Check!

I seriously am on happiness overload with the ideas that are exploding out of my brain.  My life truly will never be the same.  And oh, the labels I can create now.... swoon.  And the cards and crafts with the kids and home decor!

I absolutely couldn't wait to get the beauty out of the box and put her right to use!

I knew exactly where I needed to instantly get my Silhouette on.  For those who follow me on Pinterest, you may have noticed a little Vow Renewal board... yep, the hubs and I are renewing our vows this summer and it's about time I get those invites in the mail!  Here is a little partially true mock up {since some of the details are being kept under wraps oh so celebrity style lol}

The invite is pretty simplistic, however, it is definitely missing some "Jen" flair.  I knew the Silhouette was the answer to solving the blah problem!  After installing all of the software and hooking her up, it wasn't long before I was left with the most incredibly precise perfect cutout of a flower embellishment!

So cute right?  And so me!  I decided I wanted to have a little bit popping on each side of the card, so I just glued it on... and then sliced part of it off to stick on the other side!

Now, my invites will have that little pizzazz that they were missing!

And like the nerd I am, I plopped it up on the fridge to see how it would look there, since that's where most people put invites they receive in the mail....

Yep, it's pretty great and my favorite part is how easy it was.  The machine can cut me oodles and oodles of flowers and embellishments so I can keep playing with the layout until I get it just right.  I just provide the paper, the machine does the rest!  And it's great that the cards will have that added embellished look that you would typically pay oodles for if you were to order custom!

And now that I have played with one and know that it's officially going to suck in every spare second of my time, I am even more excited to be GIVING ONE AWAY!!!
