19 May Organizing Challenge: Link Party Recap!

Just when I thought you guys couldn't get any more awesome, you went ahead and linked up over 300 organizing projects during the May Organizing Challenge!  That is an iHeart Organizing record!  I am so proud of all you accomplished and so grateful that you all took time to link up and share.  I enjoyed every last hour I spent looking at each post.

I always recommend taking time to sneak a peek at all of the link party goodness, but with so many amazing posts to browse though, I thought I would do a little recap today to highlight why these parties are so great.  If these real life reader projects don't inspire you to empty out a cabinet or fill your "donate" bin, then I don't know what will.  And with so many of you working on specific spaces during the "Wait-No-More" challenge this month, these projects should offer a little extra nudge and motivation.

Let's hop right in and start things off with a bang.  Brit amazes me each time I visit her blog, and the DIY buffet created from stock IKEA cabinets is a prime example of why!

There are always a slew of amazing pantry projects during each link party, and Cheryl's is no exception.  I appreciate that she kept it real, and created a super functional and practical before and after story.

Not only did Juliana share her DIY laundry detergent recipe, she is also offering the adorable label as a free download!

Mary Beth has the ability to see a diamond in the rough, and you won't believe what her new charming island was in a previous life.  I will give you a hint, it starts with a "D" and ends with an "ESK".  Incredible.

Maggie shows us that organizing jewelry doesn't have to be expensive or complicated.  In fact, simple dollar-spot organizers paired with a pretty vinyl label does the trick!

I admit, I quickly become the victim of a crazy inbox.  I really enjoyed Katie's helpful tips for getting it back under control.  I was only slightly disappointed that she didn't recommend a magical email fairy. #iwish

Memo boards make the organizing world go round, and Sharon's new system is sure to work hard for her!

A few of you took on garage spaces, which in my opinion, can be some of the hardest organizational projects to tackle.  But you all really wowed me with your ambition and vision.

The always amazing Samantha created the functionality of a jumbo sized mudroom on a single garage wall.

And I couldn't peel my eyes away from Jo's garage organizing video!  She really covers the entire step-by-step process and shares ways she was able to make the most of what she already owned.

There were a couple of crazy cool closet projects too!  Maria shared how she made the most of a super narrow hallway closet.

While Darnetha proves that coral and closets go together like peanut butter and jelly.  I am crushing on this hallway closet makeover big time and digging out my coral paint as I type this!

Who doesn't love a thrifty makeover?  Especially when you are able to completely transform a piece you already owned, giving it a whole new look and life on a budget.  Katie is always doing something creative, but this time she has outdone herself.  In fact, she has DIY'd one of the best filing cabinet updates I have seen yet.

Katies must have been really motivated to improve their furniture situations, because this table transformation (also done by a Katie) is absolutely jaw dropping.

Samantha's new playroom nook makes me happy.  The addition of the easy-to-access bookshelves are not only functional, but also provide splashes of color in a space meant for imaginations.

Do you have an empty nook that could use a little attention?  The lovely ladies over at 11 Magnolia Lane shared their gorgeous open shelving tutorial.

Amy is the Queen Bee at creating crafty storage treasures.  I always get excited to see what she is up to and once again, she blows my mind with the power of paint.  Pink paint at that!

Another crafty idea, only this one comes in the form of a vintage crate and spice jars.  Who knew they could create such a magical combination?  Lora knew, that's who!

I was a fan of Heather's recipe box the moment I spotted it!  The only thing that made it better was the fact that it only cost her three dollar bills.

Sue shared her high/low project, which was initially inspired by some stunning pencil cups she found at London's Liberty store.  I think her version turned out just as beautiful (if not more) than her inspiration.

Jamie's blog is one to watch, and as a current fitted sheet stuffer (I toss them into a linen drawer and never look back), I tend to agree that I should just figure out how to fold them already!
