2 Reader Space: Colleen's Laundry Nook!

One of the most fantastic parts of being a blogger, is the amazing people you meet along the way, and the relationships that are formed!
I have been emailing back and forth with Colleen for quite awhile now, and she recently sent me the sweetest note.

Hi Jennifer,

You had a big part in my inspiration to start a blog, (and get organized)--okay, mostly to get organized, the blog came later....so thank you!  Here's the link:
It's only just begun and I hope to get better as I go along, but for now it is what it is.  I've got a few more projects I've completed and will be sharing soon.  Any suggestions would be great.

Take care,

Colleen

So I checked out her blog and saw that she conquered an awesome laundry nook organization project, and just had to share it with you, especially since the Laundry Room is this month's featured space!

THANK YOU Colleen for sharing your blog with me and more importantly, allowing me to pass along your inspiring before and afters!

Before:

And the awesomely organized afters:

Pretty amazing right?  Her laundry "nook" is actually a walk through to a 1/2 bath, so she was very genius in hanging some grommet topped curtains, to keep the space tucked away when not in use!  What a great and versatile solution that anyone can easily DIY!

And here is a little more info, straight from Colleen's blog:

I purchased bins and baskets from Target and organized everything with labels attached using clothes pins just for fun. I plan on painting this room at some point but for now I'm satisfied with it. A curtain hides it most of the time anyway.

I love that she made labels and used clothes pins to attach them!  Such a fitting touch to the laundry space!  And with all the changes, it looks as if the space will easily remain organized going forward, adding simple solutions to corralling items that originally didn't have a place to call home.

Great work Colleen and thanks again for sharing your story with me!

P.S.  Have an awesome story to share?  How about some organizing tips and tricks?  Maybe a project completed from an inspiration found?  Please send your story and photos to iheartorganizing@gmail.com and I would heart to feature them right here, on the blog!!
